Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

What does a lead service line mean for my house?

Lead was used for service lines across much of Pennsylvania's older housing, and utilities statewide are inventorying and replacing them. Your water utility can tell you what material sits on their side and often on yours. Replacing the private half is plumbing work.

Can I close the curb stop myself?

It is the utility's valve, and operating it takes a proper key rather than a wrench. The inside shutoff is the one to reach for. The utility opens and closes the curb stop when a repair needs it.

Do houses here still have galvanized supply pipe?

Yes, particularly in pre-war stock. The pipe rusts inward until the opening is a fraction of what it was, and the symptom is gradual rather than sudden. Repiping is what fixes it.

Does replacing a buried water line mean losing the lawn?

Sometimes the old path can be reused with a pit at each end rather than an open trench. Whether that is possible depends on what the line runs under and how deep it sits. Locating comes first, then the method.
