Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Why does pressure drop when two taps run at once?

Either the tank is holding very little water between cycles, or the switch settings are low for the house. Comparing readings at both points separates an equipment problem from a pipe problem.

The pump starts and stops constantly. Is that serious?

Rapid cycling is the classic sign of a tank bladder that has given up. It's hard on the motor and the pressure switch, so it's worth a call rather than a wait.

Should galvanized supply lines be replaced?

The inside of galvanized pipe scales shut, and no amount of work at the fixture end changes that. It's worth measuring before replacing anything, because the tank often gets blamed for the pipe.

Water stopped after a cold night. What is the first thing to do?

Turn the water off at the main and leave the fixtures open before anything else. The damage usually announces itself during the thaw, not during the freeze.

Will my policy pay for water damage from a split pipe?

Coverage varies by policy and by cause, so ask your insurance provider before assuming either way. Photographing the wet area and keeping the plumber's written findings gives you something to hand them.
