Seven Valleys's unique plumbing challenges

About 97 nights a year below freezing, when uninsulated crawlspace lines give out

The oldest blocks in town run plumbing decades older than the newer builds toward Loganville

First frost typically lands around November 2

Seasonal timing

Melt plus spring rain is the combination that matters, and with April at 64 degrees and May at 73 the two overlap most years.

Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Is a failed sump pump covered by homeowners insurance?

That depends on the policy you hold, and the answer is often different for a burst pipe than for water that rises through the floor. Ask your insurance provider directly what your endorsements include. Documenting the depth and the date helps whatever the answer turns out to be.

The pump cycles constantly and the water level never drops. Why?

A humming pump with a full pit points at a blocked outlet, a jammed impeller or a check valve that won't open. Running it harder won't clear any of those. Cutting power to it protects the motor while you get eyes on the line.

Where is my sump pump supposed to discharge?

Not into the sanitary sewer. That connection is banned in most places because it loads the treatment plant during exactly the storms it can least handle. The outlet needs enough run and fall to get water off the lot, which often means more pipe than the original installer used.

Can the pipe around the footing be cleaned out?

Sometimes, depending on what is wrong with it. Silt can often be jetted out, while a crushed or collapsed section cannot. A scope tells you which case you have before anyone commits to breaking up floor.
