Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Who does lead testing for a house on public water?

The provider is the first call, since sampling programs exist for exactly this. A private laboratory is the other route. Knowing the result and knowing the pipe material are not the same thing.

Does a public lead line replacement include the pipe under my yard?

The private length stays yours unless you arrange to have it done at the same time. Coordinating the two halves into one dig saves reopening the same path later. Your water provider can say what its program pays for and what it leaves to the owner.

Is municipal approval needed to dig for a new water line?

In most places a permit is required, because the tap and the road crossing are not yours to open. The plumber doing the work generally pulls it as part of the job. Ask that question early rather than on the day the excavator arrives.

Is there anything to do about the water during lead line work?

Filtering during and after the work is standard advice, since digging shakes the line. The rating matters here, so check that the cartridge is meant for lead. Flushing guidance from the provider closes out the job properly.
