Ingram's unique plumbing challenges

About 101 nights a year below freezing, when uninsulated crawlspace lines give out

The oldest blocks in town run plumbing decades older than the newer builds toward Crafton

First frost typically lands around November 3

Seasonal timing

Freezing nights add up to roughly 100 a year, and a supply line already narrowed by rust has very little margin left when the temperature drops that often.

Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

How do I get a lead test done on my tap water?

The provider is the first call, since sampling programs exist for exactly this. Independent laboratories will also take a sample. A test tells you about the water, while the line inventory tells you about the pipe.

What causes discolored water first thing in the morning?

Rust shed by old galvanized pipe is the common explanation, and it shows worst at the fixtures used least. Main flushing or a nearby repair will disturb the same sediment. Colour that comes back on a schedule is a pipe problem, not a one off.

Why has my water pressure dropped slowly over the years?

Rust building up inside galvanized supply pipe is the usual cause, because the buildup narrows the bore a little at a time. Nothing bursts, so the decline goes unremarked until a shower and a washing machine compete. A plumber can read the pressure at the outside connection and compare it with what the main is delivering.
