Common questions

How much does a plumber cost?

It depends on the job and how bad the problem is. That is why the first step is a phone call. Describe the problem and get your free estimate on the phone, with upfront pricing.

Will I talk to a real person?

Yes, you will.

Do I need to fill out a form?

No forms and no waiting on emailed quotes. One phone call is all it takes.

Can I get help at night or on a weekend?

We have plumbers ready to help families in the community 24/7, but moment-to-moment availability depends on demand. Call to find out how soon we can service your home.

Should I wait to call?

You already know that plumbing problems don't go away on their own. And waiting just increases the risks to your house. Plumbers see this hesitation all the time. Instead of regretting not calling earlier, just make that 2-minute call now and get your free estimate.

People also ask

Does homeowners insurance cover a burst pipe?

It depends on the policy and on the cause, so contact your insurance provider before assuming either way. Sudden accidental water damage is treated differently from a slow leak that went on for months. Photographs of the split and of the wet area help whichever way the claim goes.

What should I do first if a supply line bursts?

Close the main shutoff, then kill power to the water heater at the breaker if the tank could run dry. After that the water needs to be off while the split is found. A burst line rarely leaks where the ice formed, which is why the wet spot and the damage are often in different rooms.

Why does the drain back up only in winter?

Ground movement in a freeze can open a joint that was already cracked, and a partly blocked lateral shows up faster when everyone is indoors using more water. A camera run tells you whether it is roots or a break.

Is repiping worth it in an older home?

It comes down to what is in the walls and how many repairs the pipe has already needed. A house that has split twice at different spots is telling you something a third patch will not fix. A pro can scope the exposed runs in the basement first.
